My friend Shirley Charlie Kleinman took a part at an

evening of short lectures given by people who usually 

don't give lectures. I came because of Shirley, but there were

few more interesting lectures at this evening. I'm thankful again

for this friendship cause this way I knew about this evening.

Shirley was talking about gender. Shirley isn't a

regular person about it - Shirley was talking about gender queers.

And about Drag - the thing Shirley loves and do. 

And about the connection about both things.

This evening took a part at Tel Aviv for the 4th time.

A production of an organization called ZEZE.

I was given a permission to take some photos of Shirley

on stage at this evening - from Shirley and from ZEZE.

I've been given a permission. I already showed here the best

of it. And at Facebook. One of the photos is the photo up.

So, if I already published it - why do I have to do it again?

Shirley was choosing to upload this photo again at Facebook

to thank the people who made this evening happen, how did it

make her feel doing it and thank the people who came.

An item from a drag project

So, there is a drag conference called RuPaul's DragCon.

As a part of making the Israeli drag for international -

a guy called Sahar Cohen who's a drag queen himself

found a way to produce a project for the 

RuPaul's DragCon conference.

As a part of this project - the talented Dave Yaacov

(a painter, designer and a drag queen)

makes some collages with some photos of

Israeli drag artists. One of the collages is the photo up.

You probably wonder why do I upload here a work

of another artist while I made it show my own.

The answer is very easy. Those who follow this blog

at the last months knows that recently I have started to take

photos of drag at the line of DUYA - Drag Up Your Ass.

You can notice that this image includes a photo that I took

of Michael Angelo at a show of DUYA - Drag Up Your Ass.

I've been asked before if I accept that will be a use at

this photo for the project. Hell yeah! As far as I know Dave

and I know Shirley Charlie Kleinman who's behind

DUYA - Drag Up Your Ass and perform as the drag king

Michael Angelo - no problem. I even proud that a photo

that I took has been chosen to this project.

I was waiting to see how it be at the end, so here it it.

The home photographer under the lens of her own camera

After another party/show of the drag line DUYA - Drag Up Your Ass that happens every month at Levontin 7, Tel Aviv. This time it was happy because it was a party for a year of this drag line which has started and goes on thanks to Shirley Charlie Kleinman.

Few things that I have to say about it:

- It's getting better every month. 

- I'm proud that I became "the home photographer" of this amazing thing.

- One of the moments that I'm glad that there is another photographer at the room. This way I received a photo of mine at the artists' room of Levontin 7. Thanks Nora! 

- The full album with the performers and the people who came to party this time will be uploaded to Facebook and here soon. 

- I'm still shocked that I accepted to stay with this stupid hat almost all evening....

I hope to see you there next month!
